American Express® and Cape Wine Auction
After inviting school children from the local wine farm region to draw what they want to be when they grow up, Whaleed Bezuidenhout was selected as the lucky winner for his detailed drawing of a firefighter. The competition was tough, with many emerging artistic styles on show and some excellent pictures of a wide range of occupations, such as vets, school teachers, police and doctors.
Whaleed’s prizewinning firefighter wins him a brand new bicycle, which he will soon select with his parents. His winning entry was unveiled at the American Express Friday Barrel Auction, part of the Cape Wine Auction. It will go on to be featured alongside American Express point-of-sale branding at affiliated wine farms in the local wine region. As a gesture of thanks, each of the participating schools will each be given books for their libraries.
