Vergenoegd Löw
After the success of the Harvest Long Table Lunches at the end of last year’s harvest, Vergenoegd Löw is holding a series of End of Harvest Long Table Lunches.

Vergenoegd Löw The Wine Estate is well known for its wines, particularly its reds and Port style wines. The Runner Duck Wines, white, red and rosé are named for the well-known team of well over 1200 Indian Runner Ducks which spends time in the vineyards as an insect eating brigade. The daily parades of the ducks have featured on television news broadcasts and media all over the world. On Friday 31 March, Saturday 1 April and Sunday 2April, the Estate will hold Long Table Lunches. The lunches include a three-course menu of dishes shared on the table with complimentary wines from the Estate.

Ryan Shell, the Estate’s Chef and Hospitality Manager, will offer some really exciting dishes with local ingredients, some foraged from the Estate and Ryan’s vegetable gardens. Terrines, charcuterie are followed by lamb, pork, fish and beef main dishes, salads, vegetables, dessert and a platter of local cheeses.

The Vergenoegd Team will be there and Marlize Jacobs, Vergenoegd’s Winemaker for the last decade, will present the Estate’s Wines. One each day a complimentary wine blending will take place allowing guests, under the guidance of an expert, to blend a bottle of their own wine.

On Sunday 2nd April, there will be a Matthew Mole Concert on the Werf to which the Sunday guests will be given tickets to attend.

The cost is R400.00 per person, lunches include a three-course menu of dishes shared on the table with complimentary wines from the Estate.
