Rosé Rocks, Izette du Plessis
Rosé Rocks, South Africa’s rosé wine competition has just announced the call-to-entry.
This wine competition is open to all rosé wines produced in SA and entries close on Friday June 9th.

Rosé Rocks seeks to recognise excellence in rosé winemaking, and to promote the South African rosé wine category.

Allan Mullins, one of the most senior wine judges in the country, will once again will be heading up a panel of experienced judges.

Rosé wine sales continue to surge in the UK and USA markets. There is no sign of a slow down for this wine category. In fact, the term ‘on fire’ is used to describe how rosé wine is performing internationally.

Given the meteoric rise of rosé wine, it is not surprising that rosé wine in South Africa is also seeing a marked increase in consumption, alongside a significant increase in quality.

These wines have sex appeal!” comments Allan “and it’s an exciting category for consumers and winemakers alike. I’m not surprised that rosé wine is one of the fastest growing wine categories in South Africa.

Rosé Rocks is South Africa’s only rosé wine competition and it is now in its third year.

Entry forms are available at www.roserocks.co.za.
