Taking place from 4-6 August 2017 at various wineries and a Family Market on Sunday on the Klipdrift farm.

Taking place from 4-6 August 2017 at various wineries and a Family Market on Sunday on the Klipdrift farm. 

Discover the charm of country life in an intimate setting characterised by each farm’s unique personal touch. Walk under the stars, taste local cuisine and sip delicious wines from the valley.  Expect slowly made and slowly enjoyed offerings at this year’s event.

Event details
Celebrate the unique food and wine offerings of the Robertson Valley and rediscover the romance and magic of wintertime in the country.  Warm up in front of the fireplace with red wines and indulge your taste buds with hearty country cuisine using local produce.  Indulge in diverse food traditions from vetkoek, curries and waterblommetjie soup to seafood paella, Chinese duck and ostrich and kudu inspired dishes. From fine dining and gourmet offerings to farm style platters and picnics. 

Explore wine farms with underground cellar tours, game drives, horse rides and boat cruises. #Tastethelifestyle with an array of local produce and award-winning wines by joining cooking classes and intimate winemaker’s dinners. This year's festival also offers a wide variety of tasting opportunities from single vineyard and vertical tastings, to brandy pairings, tutored Méthode Cap Classique master classes and food and wine pairings.  Festival goers will be able to interact with winemakers and wine farmers in an informal setting, experience the intricate winemaking process and discover the story behind the bottle. Traditional dishes will be paired with award winning vintages, and the family market taking place on Sunday is the perfect spot to meet local chefs and winemakers.

Browse, shop, taste and enjoy great offerings at the popular family regional market which takes place from 10:00-14:00 on Sunday, 6 August.  Local wine, produce, arts, food, music and children’s activities will be on offer.
