Jason's Hill Private Cellar
Well-known for producing a range of superb wines Jason’s Hill Private Cellar also produces a magnificent premium Bordeaux style wine, the Izak Reserve 2013.

The name Izak is a strong Du Toit family name, which dates back to the 2nd generation, and the perfect fit for this wine. The wine, is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Merlot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc grapes. Rich in flavour and aroma intensity, the wine packs a punch with its cherry and ripe berry flavours yet retaining perfect barrel ageing characteristics. This award-winning wine, which was a Double Gold recipient at the 2015 Michelangelo International Wine Awards as well as a Gold Medal recipient at the 2015 People’s Winestyle Choice Awards, holds the promises of an abundance of flavours in each glass. Ready to enjoy now, but will reach its perfect drinking potential within the next six years.

Perfect for the colder months and best enjoyed with rich robust meals such as beef, game and lamb. Available directly from the Tasting Room at R199 per bottle. The estate’s flagship wine will soon be joined by a Reserve white blend, which will be released in the near future.

Jason’s Hill Private Cellar is tucked away in the heart of the Boland at the foot of the Slanghoek Mountains. With its fertile soil and excellent climate, the very best grapes are produced for making award-winning wines. The winery was built in 2002 when the Du Toit family decided to make their own wine, and since then the winery has grown from strength to strength. Not only did Ivy win the Diner’s Club Young Winemaker of the Year Award in 2003, but she was also named as SA’s first Woman Winemaker of the Year in 2004.
