If you are planning to pass through the Namaqua West Coast during the upcoming holidays, you have to stop at Klawer Wine Cellar. We offer a unique wine experience and are conveniently situated right next to the N7 just before Klawer and are the perfect first stop when entering the Matzikama region. We offer a complimentary wine tasting at our cellar that will make you fall in love with ALL our wines! We also have beautiful green lawns that are the perfect picnic spot. All you need is a few friends and a picnic basket. We have a wide variety of wine at very affordable prices to suit everyone’s taste and preference. Our brand new Vino Sacci is perfect for summer
Our Vino Sacci is going to change the way you enjoy events this summer. They are the perfect companion at any pool party, camping trip, picnic or even a braai at your house. The Vino Saccis are available at Klawer Wine Cellar and contain our Klawer Chenin Blanc and Merlot. They are sold at R20 apiece and are perfect for travellers that stop at our cellar on their route through the area. Visit our cellar to stock up for the holiday season!
New winemaker joins the Klawer Wine Cellar team
Meet the brand new addition to our staff! Neill Gellatly has joined the team as one of our new winemakers. He will be working in the white wine cellar. “If I could be any wine, I would be a nice MCC - live life and have a ball of a time. If you want to order our wine, but can’t make it to our cellar, please send an email to ontvangs@klawerwyn.co.za to place your order. We will send you a price list and make the necessary arrangements. This service is available anywhere in South Africa, but certain locations will affect delivery prices. You can visit our website to see which wines are available to you or contact us for more information by sending us an email.
Chenin in the spotlight
On 2 November we attended Chenin in the Spotlight at Die Keldery, presented by the Chenin Blanc Association. We spent the day learning more about Chenin Blanc in South Africa, as well as in our region, the Olifants River Valley. We also had the opportunity to present our Villa Esposto Chenin Blanc.

Our Klawer Cellar Pinotage is a well-balanced wine with soft, ripe pruney fruit. Delicate fruit tannins follow on the palate with subtle oak roundings.
