We have had great response for the event with more than 75% of the available seats reserved already.
Speakers confirmed for this event:
Steve Thurlow (Senior Editor: Wine Access
Cathy van Zyl MW
Karien Lourens (Anchor)
André Morgenthal (WOSA)
We will also have a tasting of a number of international and local Sauvignon Blanc wines including (if all goes well with the shipping) the two wines that did best at the Tri-Nations Challenge.
Steve Thurlow will be writing an article on the Cape Winelands and has a specific interest in Sauvignon Blanc. We would like to present a wide-ranging tasting of Cape Sauvignon Blanc wines to him and anybody who would like to submit wine for him to taste is asked to have two bottles delivered to the following address:
72 Duminy Street
(I would recommend that the different wards consolidate their wines and send in as a batch. Please also feel free to contact me to organise alternative delivery or collection methods).
From the wines submitted, Steve will choose five examples to talk about at the seminar (the other bottle will be available for tasting during lunch after the seminar).
Please note that the pre-registered people on the attached list will get preference in booking a place. Any remaining seats will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
Please send me an e-mail with the following information:
Name(s) of delegate(s)
Name of company to be invoiced
Postal address or e-mail address where invoice should be sent
I would like to make use of this opportunity to thank WOSA (Wines of South Africa) and the SANW (South African National Wine Show Association) for making Steve Thurlow's attendance possible.
Ps. Our database now has more than 400 names - please let me have any additional e-mail addresses that should be added.
