The sand mining rush in the Paardeberg escalates

While wine makers establish the Paardeberg as a world-renowned wine destination, sand mining continues to escalate and threaten this once pristine environment.

Don’t miss Focus on SABC2 this coming Sunday evening as they shine a light on sand mining in the Paardeberg area!

Appeals to reverse the grant of consent used to authorise sand mining activities, La Rhine 848 in the Siebritskloof area and Granaatfontein 12/841 in Aprilskloof, was lodged by Adv Martin Coetzee with the Municipal Manager of the Swartland Municipality, Mr Joggie Scholtz, on Friday, 3 March 2017, and we await their response.
