Nederburg Old vs New vine planting event

The team at Nederburg decided that the media team would get down and dusty with some of their vineyard staff and we all planted some vines together on a very hot day in Paarl. Once we quenched our thirst and wiped our brows we were escorted to the Old Cellar for a delightful and very educational journey of some of the finest wines I have ever tasted. Razvan Macici, Distell's head winemaker, and Andrea Freeborough, the now cellar master at Nederburg, opened discussion around various vintages and all the challenges faced in those particular years. A delightful lunch was served at the Red Table Restaurant and I must admit I left with the taste of Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 Auction Reserve lingering on my palate.
