How this wine has evolved. We have listened closely to our market who have indicated their desire for an accessible, smooth and soft wine. A vibrant ruby red colour with prominent red berry (noticeably raspberry) flavours. A hint of white pepper helps to give the wine a smoky, spicy character that works well against the juicy fruit delivery of Cabernet Franc. The wine is named after Peter Pentz, owner of Groote Post, who is affectionately referred to by his children as "The Old Man".
This wine with fresh rasberry flavours is perfect to be enjoyed with light meat and pasta dishes.
