Adoro 3 Regions Sauvignon Blanc 2009

In my opinion, 2009 was the best vintage for Sauvignon Blanc in the last decade. This is expressed best in the use of grapes from 3 well-known Sauvignon Blanc producing areas. Each contributes to the balance between upfront New World fruit and Old World mineral complexity, in a unique way: a long ripening season in the Elgin area provides classic mineral flavours to form the base structure, while the Darling grapes fill out the wine with typical New World flavours of cut grass and green apple. Grapes from Stellenbosch provide beautifully balanced tropical flavours like peach, to enhance the structure and complete the wine. Lingering flavours and complexity in structure, makes this wine a perfect partner to most meals and occasions.
