On the nose, dark fruits, berries, cherries and cassis are followed by notes of dark chocolate and cigar box. On the palate, dried herbs and spices with a touch of mint are supported by fine powdery tannins.

in the cellar : Each variety was fermented separately, on the skins, for about 14 days. Pump overs were done three times per day to extract colour and tannin. After fermentation the wines were racked into small French oak barrels - a combination of 2nd and 3rd fill. Malolactic fermentation took place in barrel and aged for 14 months. A light fining was done before bottling in October 2013.
