Red, purple colour. Pure blackberry fruit with underlying white pepper and liquorice aromas and hints of violets. Elegant but concentrated palate with fruit, underlying cedar spice and finely balanced tannin characters.

The grapes for this blend were sourced from vineyards from the Swartland region. The vineyard soils range from decomposed granite to sandstone.
Harvest commenced on 7 March and completed on 27 March 2013.
Fermentation initiated in stainless steel tanks and underwent a series of pump overs and pump downs.The wine matured in a combination of 2nd & 3rd fill French oak barrels.Bottled: October 2014
