The Riggton Story - Bonnievale
In the early 1900’s, Christopher Rigg bought a sizeable track of land in the luscious valley, known today as Bonnievale. With his entrepreneurial spirit and realizing the vast agricultural potential, he began developing an irrigation canal as to ensure a reliable water supply to the valley.

He referred to settlement in the fertile valley as “The Chance of a Lifetime”. Those who settled in the area certainly took his philosophy to heart. Through sheer hard work and dedication the successful, thriving town of Riggton was born. Rigg later renamed the town Bonnievale (Beautiful Valley) after his grandfather’s residence in Scotland.

in the cellar : Stainless steel tanks, 27° C for 5 days. Fermented on the skin for only 3 days, to get sufficient colour without harsh tannins.
