Foothills Vineyards The Partners White 2016

Each part of this complex white blend has been carefully chosen for its contribution to the flavours, because this is the most popular wine in the range, has the widest appeal. In essence it is a white Bordeaux blend of Sauvignon Blanc for leafy freshness and Semillon for palate weight, with 12% Viognier added to lift the aromatics, give some floral notes and gentle tropical flavours. The light savoury element comes from lees contact.

To be drunk solo or with a variety of different foods, a big part of its appeal is its versatility.

in the vineyard : Located in the foothills of the towering Helderberg mountains, a mere 6km from False Bay and within sight of the Atlantic Ocean, these relatively high altitude vineyards enjoy the full benefit of cooling sea breezes and rolling ocean mists. The southern sloping, well-drained sand, gravel and granitic clay soils contribute to an ideal terroir promoting a natural balance between the vigour of the young vines and their yields.

in the cellar : Our experienced winemaker, Bernard Le Roux has been a part of the Foothills team since early 2014 and is passionate about producing site specific wines which reflect our unique terroir.
