in the vineyard : The Top of the Hill vineyard, planted on gravel loam soil, is the oldest Pinotage vineyard in South Africa. This low-yielding vineyard produces only 3.5 tonnes per hectare.

about the harvest: The grapes are picked at 25° Balling.

in the cellar : This wine receives 14 days maceration on the skins for optimum extract of flavours and colour, after which it spends 20 months in 100% new French oak barriques.
