Vriesenhof Pinot Noir 2004

Lighter hues with vibrancy and clarity. Complex fruit aroma’s of raspberries, strawberries and plums. Supporting tertiary characters typical of this variety such as spiciness (clove and cinnamon) and liquorice, compliment the oak used. Medium-bodied and elegant this wine reveals itself in the mouth through a multitude of layers. The tannins are soft and velvety coating the mouth while preserving the core of pure fruit. Firm tannins will allow for further maturation – a perfect mirror of the vintage and confirmation that nature plays a key role in determining the ultimate outcome. A moderately warm growing season produces the typical earthy, mineral and gamey characteristics of the Pinot Noir grape.

Enjoy with light meals, salmon, duck, chicken, ham or veal. Recommended with pastas and risotto.
