in the vineyard : The five year old block is from the farm Saamstaan just outside Malmesbury in the Swartland. The block is a trellised double wire system planted on deep red Oakleaf soil.

about the harvest: The grapes were hand harvested at 22° Balling.

in the cellar : Gently crushed and separated from the skins. After 48 hours settling, the clear juice was cold fermented in stainless steel tanks for 10 days, only free run juice was used. The wine spent 8 weeks on the lees before it was stabilized and bottled.
