Blues Celebrates Food and Wine Pairings with Glen Carlou Winery

Continuing on BLUES' three month campaign of food and wine pairings in celebration of 23 years in the business, the world renowned restaurant in Camps Bay has announced that they will partner with Glen Carlou Winery on 26 August for an evening of pure culinary indulgence.
Blues has revealed the menu for the evening which boasts a range of taste sensations "We discuss all the food and wine pairings in detail with both our wine farms and our chef to obtain a winning combination. With some of the best local ingredients, our guests will not be disappointed with the finalised menu" says Blues co-owner Chris Bertie.

The menu for the Glen Carlou event will consist of the following delicious courses: a starter of mussel and clam chowder topped with crispy potato and leek salad, served with a Glen Carlou Sauvignon Blanc.

For the main course, guests will be treated to a combination of Springbok served in two ways. This delicious course will be served with Glen Carlo Grand Classique

To end off, a dessert of Pineapple Tarte tatin will be paired with a glass of Glen Carlou Weldor.

Each evening event will commence at 19h30 with a wine tasting at the cosy bar area. There after guests will be treated to a 3-course meal with accompanying wines. Vegetarian options will also be available and tickets are R280 per person.

Booking is essential. There will be two magnums up for grabs in a lucky draw, so all guests are asked to bring their business cards. Blues will also be donating a R1000 meal voucher for one lucky guest.
