Food trucks filled with delectable dishes. All nestled between the majestic mountains of the Breedekloof. Yes, the first Old N1 Country Craft Beer Festival has arrived and takes place on Saturday, 14 May on the premises of the well-known Du Toitskloof Cellar just outside Rawsonville. It is named after the Old N1 highway that used to run past the cellar, connecting the Cape with the north.
The drinking pleasure at this country beer festival is supplied by representatives of Raw Craft (Du Toitskloof's own new beer), Triggerfish, Breede River Brewing Company, Triggerfish, Zebonkey Brewery Boet Beer, Saggy Stone and Wild Clover Breweries. Everson's is also joining in the merriment with their distinctive cider and its vibrant apple flavours. Brewers will be present to pour beer and share information about their intimately-prepared products. And inbetween, music will be provided by the evergreen Blues Broers as well as Valiant Swart.
The gates to the premises open at 12:00 on Saturday, 14 May and the main music attractions kick off at 17:00.
