Take a stand against cancer and lace up for the Survivor’s Walk of Hope in Franschhoek on Saturday, 17 September 2016. Starting at the Huguenot Monument with a half way pit stop at Mont Rochelle, the event ends at Grande Provence Heritage Wine Estate.
Endorsed by Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu, this 5km fun-walk seeks to spread the message of hope in support of cancer-patients and individuals grieved by the disease.

To conclude the day, cancer survivors and other participants can leave a mark of encouragement by placing their hand prints on a portrait of the Archbishop Emeritus. The event also offers a unique teambuilding opportunity for corporates.

Hosted by the Out of Africa Children’s Foundation, all proceeds of this event will contribute towards improving the quality of life for children facing life-threatening and terminal illnesses.

The Survivor’s Walk of Hope starts at 11h00. Tickets cost R80 per adult and R30 for children under the age of 18. To sign-up or for more information, e-mail Kim of the Out of Africa Children’s Foundation at big5@outofafricacf.org.
