12 Apostles Hotel and Spa is hosting a seafood masterclass and braai with SASSI and Bouchard Finlayson Wines on Saturday, 27 April.

12 Apostles Hotel and Spa is proud to be South African Sustainable Seafood Initiative (SASSI) Ambassadors, and we’re eager to share our passion for sustainability with our guests. Learn how to prepare and fillet a sustainable, locally caught fish, followed by a seafood braai paired with Bouchard Finlayson wines.

About SASSI

In 2004, the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) established WWF-SASSI to inform and educate the seafood trade about sustainable seafood. WWF-SASSI drives sustainable change in the local seafood industry, informing and inspiring consumers to make sustainable seafood choices and working with suppliers and sellers of seafood – addressing all aspects of the supply chain.

By using a ’traffic light’ system (red, orange and green), the colour-coded SASSI list categorises selected South African and imported seafood species according to their conservation status.
