The DUSK Winemaker’s Dinner Series showcases an iconic South African wine estate through an exceptional event of eight courses and eight wines orchestrated by us, together with Sommelier Bafana and the guest winemaker.

The Malan dynasty of three generations have been the custodians of the Simonsig Estate since 1968. This history of the much-lauded Stellenbosch estate, began with Frans Malan who is remembered for producing the Kaapse Vonkel, South Africaʼs first Cap Classique made in the classic bottle-fermented style and also honoured for co-founding the thriving Stellenbosch Wine Route. Today, his legacy lives on through his sons, Francois and Johan, and grandchildren Francois-Jacques, Christelle and Michael, the 2nd and 3rd Malan generations at Simonsig Wine Estate.

Michael Malan is the current winemaker and produces four exceptional ranges, The Garland, The Malan Family Selection, Cap Classique and Cultivar.
