Learn to pair food and wine with Darryl Burger, a top chef and sommelier from Cape Town, at the eco-lodge Elephant's Eye, Hwange in Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe. Join us for a week of food and wine pairing from 13 to 18 March 2016.

Darryl will be taking guests on a journey of gourmet dishes and South African wines: guests will get to cook themselves and, apart from immersing themselves in extraordinary tastes, will be able to view incredible wildlife, go on a safari and experience a host of activities offered at Elephant's Eye, Hwange. 

Darryl Burger is an internationally recognised chef who has made a name for himself as the owner and head chef of The Field Kitchen and Plat du Jour. The Field Kitchen is where Darryl displays his range of extraordinary culinary skills catering for events - from highly acclaimed events to private dinners. Plat du Jour, shows his health fanatic side as he runs a business that delivers meals that use only organic and pasture reared ingredients, which is a perfect fit for our eco-lodge.

With experience as a sommelier in London, Darryl has collected extensive knowledge about European and South African wines – and is well-versed in teaching guests about wines and how to enjoy them best.
