Deep intense colour. Complex and elegant aroma of black currants with hints of cedar and cigarbox. Very rounded and full bodied wine in the Bordeaux style. Layered flavours of black currant and chocolate mocha with vanilla tones and spice. Finely textured velvet tannins and a long finish.

about the harvest: 5 tonnes per hectare. Grapes handpicked and sorted before stemming.

in the cellar : 
Initial selection of bunches in vineyards. Cold maceration, long slow fermentation with natural yeasts in open oak vats with 4 hourly punch downs and pump overs. Malolactic fermentation in barrels. 2600 cases (12) produced.
 
Barrel aging: Matured for 19 months in 50% new French oak.
