The Leopard’s Leap Culinaria Collection is a celebration of the harmony in which food and wine complement one another. Matching the finest in food with the finest in wine is the very reason behind this exquisite collection - to create optimal enjoyment through mutual enhancement.

in the vineyard : Origin: Culinaria Shiraz Grenache is a Wine of Origin Western Cape. The largest percentage of the grapes used for the production of this Rhône-style blend originates from the Overberg region, specifically Bot River.

Vineyards: Bot River vineyards lie approximately eight kilometres inland from the Atlantic ocean, with south-easterly winds creating perfect cooling conditions for growing Rhône-style varieties. Canopy management through which excessive leaf coverage is removed, allows optimal exposure to sunlight, enhancing even ripening.

about the harvest: Grapes were hand-picked - the Shiraz at 25,4 degrees Balling and the Grenache at 24,8. Berries were sorted by hand.

in the cellar : Traditional, simple wine-making methods were used, allowing as little intervention as possible. Malolactic fermentation took place in second-fill 225-litre French oak barrels. Thereafter, prior to bottling, the wine was blended and matured in first-fill (15%) and second-fill (85%) French oak barrels for a period of 22 months.
