Whether a serious trail runner or a lover of good wine and the beautiful outdoors, the Cellar2Cellar Trail Run & Wine Experience has the ideal event just for you.

Starting and finishing at Blaauwklippen (off the R44 between Stellenbosch and Somerset West) on Saturday, 07 September 2013, trail runners can choose between two stunning routes: a 12km and 20km, while wine and outdoor lovers can enjoy the 12km Wine Experience. The route winds its way through the vineyards of Stellenrust, Dornier, Kleinood, Waterford and Stellenzicht. These six participating wine farms together with a Checkers Odd Bins tasting station will tempt participants to linger and taste their wine along with Portobello cheeses, chocolates and Wedgewood Nougats on offer.

Participants in the Wine Experience are also encouraged to dress according to this year’s theme which is African Bizarre. The best dressed male and female entrants will win his and her weight in wine.

Wine Experience participants will be able to buy wine en route which will be delivered to them at the finish at Blaauwklippen where the festivities will continue with a farmer’s market, entertainment and pamper treatments by Mangwanani Africa Day Spa therapists. Crèche facilities provided specially for the event will enable parents to safely leave their children with the Crèche caretakers at the start and then collect them again once they have completed the circular route.
