The range comprises quality wines in an ultra-convenient 1.5-litre pouch
with a spout. It invites you to think “out of the box” - no more cardboard or
glass bottles rolling around in your picnic basket.
The packaging makes it easy to carry, easy to store and ready-to-use
whether you’re on an arduous hike, around the campfire or enjoying the fresh
air in your very own backyard. You might be an outdoorsy type or a social
butterfly - either way Unplugged62 should become your faithful companion on any
outing.
Unplugged62 is a new brand in the stable of Van Loveren, the celebrated
winery near Robertson. The picturesque Route 62 – a favourite with sightseers
exploring the beautiful Cape countryside – passes by the winery’s front door.
Unplugged62 invites you to leave the hustle and bustle of life behind.
Follow the handy map imprinted on the packaging and head off down Route 62 into
the Breede River Valley – with your designated driver, of course!
You’ll be happy to know that as a lover of fresh air, Unplugged62 has
been created with the environment in mind. It has a carbon footprint up to 80%
lighter than two glass bottles. As no outer box is used, the reduced packaging
material further shrinks the impact this range has on the environment.
Savour the Sauvignon blanc at a picnic of fish or chicken under the
stars. The wine shows fresh green flavours of bell pepper and spice, with
subtle undertones of tropical fruit. On the palate the wine is crisp, fresh and
dry with a steady acidity.
Try the Merlot at your next braai. Its abundant aromas of plum and
whiffs of Eucalyptus and cassis make it a perfect accompaniment. The palate is
well balanced with a soft, round tannin structure and a lingering fruity,
smooth finish.
Unplugged62 is available at
Makro stores countrywide, for around R 69.95, and will soon be available at
other retail. For more information on Van
