Jordan Wine Estate is offering to sponsor a successful candidate to attend the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) courses (Level 1 and 2) being held in Cape Town, by Approved Programme Provider, Cathy Marston, well known wine educator and wine writer (www.cathymarston.co.za).

The Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) was founded in 1969 to provide high quality education and training in wines and spirits. Since then, it has grown into the foremost international wines and spirits education provider, with a range of sought-after qualifications now taught in 60 countries around the world. A WSET qualification is highly-regarded in international hospitality and wine industries and will stand the holder in good stead when it comes to entering the competitive job market. This “Women In Wine” sponsorship, being offered by Jordan Wine Estate, Stellenbosch is open to all “per definition” black, female candidates who have a matric certificate, and can speak and read English fluently.

The successful candidate must be available to attend the WSET courses in Cape Town (Level 1 begins on 20th of April 2016 followed by the exam on the 23rd of April).

In addition to this world-class learning experience gained through attending the WSET courses, Jordan Wine Estate will invite the successful candidate to visit the Estate, seasonally where she will be able to practically experience the viticultural and winemaking activities that occur during the different times of the year. This will aid the candidate in putting into practice what is being learnt through the WSET courses.
