Grande Provence Heritage Wine Estate
Grande Provence is pulling out all the stops with some show stopping, signature red blends on Friday, 26 August when this Franschhoek wine estate teams up with Beaumont Wines, Joostenburg Wines and Morgenster for their monthly Wine & Dine Collaboration.

Executive Chef Darren Badenhorst has designed a superb pairing menu that melds perfectly with the complexity of each of the majestic reds.

The evening at The Restaurant at Grande Provence starts off with Joostenberg Bakermat 2012 paired with sous vide local wild pigeon, smoked pommes, foraged wild mushrooms and spiced sultana gel.

The flagship, The Grande Provence 2012, will be served with baked red drum bass, red wine braised mixed bean and turmeric poached Patagonica rogout.

For the Beaumont Vitruvian 2012, the chef will prepare a coriander dry aged blesbok loin, carrot and cardamom, winter herbs, charred shitake and iced baby beetroot salad.

A cheese course of Stilton and Healeys brandade velouté served with 18 hour pork belly and fig caviar, should be the perfect counterfoil for the Morgenster 2010.

With the event taking place on a Friday, why not take advantage of the Grande Provence Heartland Offer and make a weekend of it? The Heartland Offer provides exclusive winter rates for the Owner’s Cottage as well as La Provençale Villa in the Vineyard for group bookings.

The Red Blends Wine & Dine Collaboration dinner takes place at The Restaurant at Grande Provence at 19h00.
