With a record number of 1829 entries, it is no mean feat that the Krone Rosé Cuvée Brut 2015 walked away with Gold at the recent awards.

The Michelangelo International Wine & Spirit Awards (2016) now in its 20th year gives local wines the opportunity of being judged by a panel of acclaimed wine experts from around the globe. All judges are hand-picked and serve on the panel by invitation only. The full panel consists of between 22 and 26 international judges.

The awards ceremony for 400 guests was held at the Lord Charles Hotel in Somerset West on 26 September.
