Steenberg Sauvignon Blanc wins Gold at Concours Mondial du Sauvignon
You may have heard the news that our Steenberg Sauvignon Blanc 2016 has won a Gold Medal in the Concours Mondial du Sauvignon Competition!

This is a prestigious competition held in Bordeaux with the judging panel comprising of 65 international experts from 17 countries. 861 wines were tasted from around the world with 87 winning gold medals - only 2 of which were from South Africa!

We are very proud of this achievement and the recognition we have received as a cool-climate Sauvignon Blanc producer.

This wine is currently available for tasting from our tasting room. Visit us Monday - Sunday from 10h00 - 18h00.

#Harvest2017 Update

"Die oes is af" as they say. Tuesday 28 March marked the last day of #harvest2017 with Semillon arriving at the Cellar.

From our farm, we brought in 564 tonnes of grapes which is 172 tonnes more than 2016 and 98 tons more than our biggest harvest previously in 2014.

Our Cellar and Vineyard Teams believe this to be the best harvest at Steenberg in years.
