Doolhof Cape Loerie 2007

The nose is dominated by an abundance of green pepper and gooseberry notes. The palate is generously flavourful with a forthcoming tropical character and a lip smacking lime finish.

This wine is an ideal aperitif and a perfect picnic partner. Try serving it with Thai Salmon fish cakes or asparagus and pecorino pasta salad.

A large green bird with a short hooked bill and brilliant red wings, it is usually seen flying between forest trees. Its tall, elegant, rouded crest, which is tipped white, is a distinguishing feature. The Knysna Loerie is only found in the Knysna Forests along the south coast of South Africa.
