This classically styled richly structured wine has a strong blackcurrant element but with some violets and dark chocolate as well. The cigar box and cedary oak characters derived from the wood are balanced by the black and red fruit aromatics present in the wine. Further cellaring will be to the wine’s advantage.

The Cabernet is planted in the drier, top of the slope and the Merlot in the shallower, clay-rich, moisture retaining, base of the slope.
