Graham Beck Bowed Head Chenin Blanc 2010

Broad and appealing with concentrated whiffs of apricot and peach blossoms, honeysuckle, lime, melon and ripe pineapple flavours on the nose. A full and creamy palate with layers of ripe tropical fruit and delicate hints of spice complemented by a long clean and crisp citrus aftertaste.

Good company for Alfresco lunches. Also great with grilled chicken or fish, rich pasta dishes and spicy food.

ageing : Will mature for up to 3 years in the bottle.

in the vineyard : Low yielding, 41 - 47 year old bush vines on the rolling hills of Paarl, exposed to south eastern winds, rain and lots of sunshine. Dryland vineyards planted on very deep soils.

The grapes were left to ripen fully to ensure the development of the rich and ripe flavours of Chenin Blanc and for complexity.

in the cellar : Barrel fermented and matured for 8 months in a combination of 1st - 3rd fill French oak barrels.
