Morgenhof Estate Cape Vintage Port 1998

This wine has a deep ruby red colour, almost black with a slight brown tint. The nose shows a complex combination of the following flavours: cassis, prunes, meatiness, nuttiness and wood. The palate is full bodied, sweet, has lots of lovely fruit tannins and the following dominant flavours; liquorice, spice and cassis fruit. The wine has a very good integration with the spirits. Port goes well with cheese and some rich chocolate desserts. This is a port that very well can be drunk on its own or as lots of people like with a cigar.
