in the vineyard : This Chenin Blanc is from our registered single vineyard in Elgin – The Kogelberg block. This is the first block of vineyard on your left as entering the Casey’s Ridge property.

2011 was our first bottling of a single varietal Chenin and we were thrilled by it winning a Gold Michelangelo just prior to its release. The 2012 followed in its footsteps and proving to be a very popular wine.

Currently the only single varietal Chenin produced from WO Elgin grapes.

in the cellar : The wines were fermented in 225 and 500 litre French oak barrels using 2nd and 3rd fill barrels. The wine was left on lees for 10 months prior to bottling.
