The wine is deep ruby red with wild berry, mint and ripe plum flavours and hints of vanilla. A full-bodied, mouth-filling wine, well supported by ripe tannins.

9-year-old, trellised (single-wire, Perold) vines planted on northwest-facing slopes yielded the grapes for this wine. The vineyards received 2 supplementary irrigations during this vintage and produced 7 tons per hectare.

about the harvest: The grapes were picked at 25° Balling in mid-February.

in the cellar : Fermentation in stainless steel tanks was followed by malolactic fermentation in new French oak barrels. The wine spent 14 months in French oak barrels.
